José E. Sánchez-López is a PhD candidate in Computer Science and Teaching Assistant at the University of Seville, where he is also a member of the MINERVA AI research group. With a background that combines a BSc in Industrial Technologies Engineering and an MEng in Software Engineering, his research focuses on machine learning applications to renewable energy production, including time series forecasting, predictive maintenance, and operations research. He has further broadened his research experience as a Visiting Researcher at Helmholtz AI in Munich.
Alongside his research, José Enrique teaches fundamental programming to undergraduate students in the Computer Science faculty. Previously, he worked as a Data Engineer and as a Research Engineer in the industry. Fluent in Spanish, English, and German, he has been recognized with awards such as the Santander Tech Scholarship.
